Chapter 1: Attention Caught

It was a Friday afternoon and Sage stood out her window feeling the cool and warm breeze, she figured it would be a nice day to head out to the park and try to get some real life sketches. So, she picked up her sketchpad and pencils along with all she needed and headed to the park hoping she would find some sort of inspiration.

Sage walked all the way to the park, seeing as how walking always helped calm her mind as she went searching for a bench to sit down and if not, then it was on the grass. So, in the end, the grass was where she ended up sitting at as she placed her blanket she brought with her on the ground for her to sit on.

Once she had settled and placed all her pencils and sketchpad she looked across from her in the distance at the basketball courts. Majority of the guys there she knew, but there were only two she didn’t know and they had captured her attention. Out of nowhere, she began sketching both of the guys in their movements while they were playing basketball. The more she sketched the more details she added.

However, the more she continued on with her sketches, so much time had gone by without her even realizing it. Already 9 in the evening and she was supposed to have already gone home but she didn’t want to considering she didn’t feel the need to go home. But as she looked up from her sketchpad she noticed many of the guys at the basketball courts were heading home. She looked around the park seeing there wasn’t as many people and even though she knew she could keep herself safe, she was trying to play the part and act like everyone else. So, she packed up her sketchpad and pencils and as she stood up thinking about where to go, she decided to head to the coffee shop not too far from the park.

Sage walked in the coffee-shop as she looked around for a seat or booth to sit in and finish her drawings as the people at the coffee-shop knew her since she was a constant regular every other day at the coffee-shop. So, instead she sat at a booth near the window in the far back corner while also having a Caramel Frappe. She looked at her drawings and adding tiny details to each one until she noticed from her peripheral vision the two guys she had drawn in her sketchpad walk through the doors of the coffee-shop sitting two booths away from her. She looked up for just a moment to see and noticed they were both staring at her. Unsure of what she should, she closed her sketchpad and placed her handbag over the sketchpad. Then, both the guys stood up and walked over to her and as they reached her, one of the guys said, “Hey, you were at the park earlier, right?”.

She looks up to both the two guys who were now sitting across from her. “Yes, what of it?” She replied coldly.

“Not very friendly I see.” The guy she found quite attractive as he had a very ocean blue eyes responded back to her.

She glared at them and stood up, “To people like you guys, not particularly”. As she picked up her sketchpad and handbag putting the money on the table and heading out the doors dropping a picture she had sketched of the two guys on the ground without realizing she did.

The moment she walked out of the doors the guy who asked her a question stood up and picked up the sketch while sitting back down and placing it on the table between him and the other guy.

“That’s actually pretty nice, you know.”

“Think we should return it to her?”

“Another day. She probably will get pissed at us if she sees us again.”

“Yeah true. But, You chose to talk to her because Kaen?” The blue-eyed guy ask his friend.

“Oh come on Sky, you can’t tell me she had an interesting aura around her. You must admit, she was pretty cute and interesting.” Kaen replied to Sky in a very cheerful and joking tone.

“You”, Sky pointed to Kaen with the expression of thinking his friend was losing his mind, “I do not know anymore.”

Kaen in return laughed and smiled at Sky, “I love you too, dude.”

Sky looks at Kaen in disgust. “Let’s get going. I’ll take you home.”

“Sure whatever you want my friend.” Kaen places his arm around Sky smiling and winking at him. As Sky kept his mouth shut and quiet, choosing the better of him to not say anything and keep quiet as they reached Sky’s car as Sky took Kaen home for the night.
