Death Lord: The ArrivalA Poem by Tomislav PetricevicThe dragon of death had warned men to release his brothers....but did they listen?....what can I tell you? The world is in peril. Sinister forces are rolling the diabolical barrel. A few of us left, to push the resistance, Nevertheless, they can't crush our persistence.
A time long forgotten, a world full of prosperity, Brave soldiers side to side, brother solidarity. Prayers of protection, from paladins and priests, Means to rise to heaven on the backs of winged beasts.
Dragons they were called, in their beauty and magnificence, Enslaved by the greedy men and forced to obedience. With ice, fire, earth and wind magically infused, They brought wrath to all the foes, their masters stood amused.
But the fifth one was uncontrolled, for no one could master death, They tried and perished on the spot by his vigorous breath. He warned the mortals once before, that his brothers must be freed, After the battle with evil was over, or they would all bleed.
How could they have listened to him, corrupted by the power? He was one, but they had four with strength increasing every hour. But in their lust for dominance, one thing missed their sight, A prophecy foretold millenniums ago, of an oncoming blight.
A herald of vengeance, a seeker of retribution, A harbinger of doom, a tool for execution. Those were all my names, throughout different tales retold, But in this one I will be remembered as the merciless Death Lord. © 2012 Tomislav PetricevicAuthor's Note
