Break

It just came to me while listening to some Linkin Park songs, so I had to write it down.

BREAK the monotony of everyday life,

BREAK the struggle you constantly fight,

BREAK the feeling of sorrow inside,

BREAK the negativity and replace it with pride.

 

Because every day you feel like s**t's waiting for you,

But you must change your perception and stop being blue,

So when you go out and start feeling fucked up,

BREAK your chains that have held you locked up.

 

Free yourself from agony, spread your white wings,

Fly into the skies and don't worry about those things

That dwell deep inside your soul, waiting to surface out,

BREAK them from the inside with your freed from pain shout.

 

Nothing can now stop you, even the sky's not the limit,

Your shambling body is replaced with an overcoming spirit,

So rise up beyond the shallowness, and open your eyes wide,

BREAK your tainted mind and let it with reason collide.

 

Because every day you'll feel like opportunities are waiting for you,

You'll enjoy what life has to offer, not feeling blue,

So you'll go out and not even think of felling fucked up,

All the chains are BROKEN now, that held you locked up.

 

So,

This would make an incredibly awesome song, if you could find music to set it to. I've heard Linkin Park before, and I imagined them singing these words as lyrics, and it made this one come alive on the paper. Wonderful message and good rhythm, this one.
