Chapter V:

A Chapter by Lynn Nicole

I got dressed in a nightgown quickly.

My long black hair fell loosely down my back.

"You going to get it cut?" Alistair asked.

 "Maybe...why?"

"You always pull it up or brush it away."

 "Oh,"

I watched him as he walked in front of me.

 "What's going on?"

 "Nothing," I said.

 "You sure?"

"Yes," I laughed. "Why are you so concerned?"

"I just..." He looked out the window as the sky turned from a multi colored orange to a dark blue. "I don't want to lose you,"

"You won't," I said. I didn't know if he would or not.

 "I-"

"Hush," I stood up and walked in front of him, laying a hand on his face. "Don't worry about it. The journal said to have fun if it would be the last time we could have fun. So forget about it for now. On Sunday we'll worry about it. Now, just stay in this moment."

He smiled. His lips brushed against my cheek, and met my lips.

I woke in the morning with a start.

I didn't remember my dream, but it scared me.

I got dressed quickly, and ran outside.

Alistair was leaning up against a street lamp, talking to a merchant.

Mica and Tyler were sitting at the end of a dock, kissing and laughing, like always.

"Oh, I have to go, that's her. Thank you, so much." Alistair thanked the man and walked toward me.

He spun me around and kissed me quickly.

"What are we going to do today?" I asked.

"I don't know, I thought maybe we could take a horse ride into the Wilds, or walk and do some practice."

"We could walk. I need to see Mica and Tyler fight, plus, we'll need some meat for when we go back out."

"Great, let's get breakfast and get ready."

Mica was smiling while her and I got new swords.

 "What?" I asked.

 "Tyler is amazing."

 I smiled. "He's a great kid."

"I think my Mom...won't be happy."

 "Why?"

 "He's not gypsy."

"Oh. You guys should stay in a city, you don't really seem gypsy like to me."

 "Not at all." She smiled.

"Have you told him your mom's wishes?"

"Yes," She nodded. "He says his mom is the same way. But he only has a few weeks left, since his mom isn't back from Reedville yet."

 "So, it looks all good?"

 "Yes, it does."

"Well, we have everything, are you ready?"

"Um, Eliza," Mica glanced around for the boys. "I don't know how to use a sword."

I gawked. "I bet you've never worn fighting shorts, either."

"No, I don't like them either."
