Mesozoic Man

Mesozoic Man

A Poem by Pete Langley
"

Apocalyptic satire or healthy non-alignment?

"
                              Mesozoic Man

                        Yes, I shamble.

                        Strolling would be nice,

                        but too many interruptions

                        make for less

                        of a gentle oneway direction.

                        My eye is drawn

                        this way and that,

                        making my feet follow.

same could be said for
many a man leaving clancy's bar
just past closing time

keeping hold your wit
while letting go of the years
nice to see you back

there are interruptions...but curiosity is a good thing, and those feet...as long as they don't try to go the other direction...you're in good shape...

there is something to be said for shambling....at least the speaker is not rushing through life, missing most of it.

love this short piece.
