GravityA Poem by Pete LangleyA down to earth poem I watched a tiny tear of rain on a spotted windowpane collect the light from grey to white until the weight of waterload made the bubbled globe explode, then stream the juice straight down the glass, collecting fellows as it passed. I wondered at the part of chance in this unregimented dance and how the only constancy was top to bottom gravity. No matter how a man or tree grows tall, like tears of rain they all will fall. © 2015 Pete LangleyAuthor's Note
