Passing ThroughA Poem by P.J. LowryWalking across the tall grass with the rain pounding down on my head an annoying, relentless barrage of water never really giving up until I decided to leave as if it were the cemetary's defence system the falling water also symbolized the grief one would expect to feel and experience when visiting such a sad and depressing location. There I stood with flowers clutched in my hand as I wandered through the maze of stones feeling like a lost child looking for a friend in the middle of an enormous crowd of people. I finally find the stone I am looking for like a reader when they find a favorite poem stashed away in a thick volume of complete works relieved to have found what you're looking for yet confused about what do to now. The rain intensifies in droves crashing down on my brain as I try to wonder what my life could have been like had you been around a little longer. Wondering is all I will ever do as I lay down the flowers and walk away and even though Id like to stay Im only passing through... © 2008 P.J. LowryReviews
