Wandering For Love

Each night I find myself wandering the streets

in search of someone, a new companion

with every ongoing failure, my confidence fleets

I keep over thinking, each action I question.

 

Whenever each search ends, I begin to let go

hoping this person is the one, the winner

too happy to be aware of what I should know

that it was never meant to be for me and her.

 

I continue to wander wondering what I did

video of my failures repeating inside my head

laughing at my luck and trying to even kid

that my efforts would have any chance to succeed.

 

Sometimes I even think I may never love again

yet I keep trying, for love and more poems to pen.
