Somewhere in Africa (2nd)A Poem by Peter Mogbathe poem is talking about the unpleasant state of mind in Nigeria
In" love" i write this letter
Hoping to amend better The presence of our future Our past is always ou8r shadows lurking in the dark even till down To hunt down the infant snow Right from the day they were born. Our sins passed upon The innocents that just came on board Walking along the streets Looking beneath the trees These infants worn away physically This land is to be in peace and harm0ny, Why this calamity? the vultures drag the skin of those taking a "nap" on the street this is a "beautiful" sign that we are all up at night i look forward to the next dreaded sound to shake my head for the helpless victims and offer them a requiescat For a "peaceful" departure For many has died For many are held captive For many are to be either of those I look forward for a peaceful giant Still somewhere in Africa... For if i am a victim, For if we all are victims, Who will till the soil? Who will right our wrongs? Who will speak of our past? For those gone i have given peaceful wish R.I.P till this land sigh again ....still somewhere in Africa..... © 2015 Peter MogbaAuthor's Note
