the poem is talking about the killing innocent souls because of the insurgency in Nigeria

I look forward to the next musical sound,
To shake my head for the helpless victims
And offer them a requiescat
For a "peaceful" departure.

For many has died
For many are held captive
For many are to be either of those
I look forward for a peaceful giant
Still somewhere in Africa.......

For if i am a victim,
For if we are all victims,
Who will till the soil?
Who will speak of our past?
For those gone, I've given peaceful wish,
R.I.P. till this land sigh again.
