Dogs of war

Dogs of war

A Poem by The_Ancient_Rock
"

A call to peace.

"
Everything is on the line,
we are running out of time.
Oh, so do angels cry,
for innocents that will die.
Oh, Gabriel sound your horn,
for all those once born.
Light a candle and say a prayer,
so we can all meet there.
Some place ever after,
all lives really matter.
Through all the ash and smoke,
some refuse to lose hope.
Call on your dogs of war,
leave the people, forevermore.
Let it there be peace,
and may our troubles cease.
The halls are already filled with blood,
and countless bones within the mud.
May Diana shine bright on this dark path,
at the crossroads where the devil did sat.
Where is the land of promise?
What would tip the scales of justice?
In a million men, is there one true and honest,
that can truly deny that peace is best?
In this piece, there is a beast, and I confess,
sins, that were never mine to express...
I glide with the wings of sorrow,
and dream of a better tomorrow.
To see the future in a child's smile,
and try to forget all things vile.

i just got back from Myanmar, when i sufferred a psychotic episode. from the hospital, i learned about the coup d'etat. i knew what was coming. i knew there was going to be killing. my heart sank for the country that took me in, and the people who were so kind to me.
today, it doesn't get mentioned on the news much, but war is still raging. i pray for peace. i pray for Myanmar, but also Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza, Israel... and i don't want to go on.

"They have healed the hurt of the people a little by saying, peace, peace, when there is no peace." Book of Jeremiah If man were capable of peace, what wonderful things our species might accomplish working in harmony with one purpose. But the "if" has never been realized and mankind grows closer to his own demise as a species every day.

This poem reflects on the consequences of violence and the cry for justice and compassion amidst suffering, invoking a sense of urgency and collective responsibility.
It addresses the impact of conflict on innocent lives, the role of divine or spiritual intervention (represented by angels and figures like Gabriel and Diana), and the quest for a better future.
This poem shows how much the world needs help in such short sum of words. I don't know how it led to so much bad but I pray that this changes or else centuries from now it may be no more.

Thanks for sharing such a powerful thought,.
