Letter to a Loved One

A love letter to a far away lover.

My love, my beloved, 

in the twilight of existence, 

where memories dwell, 

I pen this letter,

with sentiments that compel. 

Even though many moons have waxed and waned

since we were last together, 

know that you have my love forever... 

Your laughter echoes through the stillness of the night, 

a harmonious whisper, a flickering light. 

Your presence still lingers around my heart, 

may our souls never do part. 

Even when ocean divides, 

true love in our minds abides. 

Even if we are separated by distance and time, 

know that you are forever mine. 

I cherish your names as a rare gem's glow,

in every waning twilight, 

your true essence I know. 

Our love could live on through the ages, 

our story written in so many pages. 

We carved our love in the stars above, 

a timeless bond, stronger than mere love. 

A blooming love that never fades, 

resembling the rainbow's many shades. 

I write the love letter to you, 

you lift me up when I am blue. 

I love you, honest and true... 

In every lifetime, 

you are my perfect pair, 

my forever boo. 

May the winds carry my sentiments across vast expanses,

in every heartbeat of mine, 

your true essence eternally dwells.

Love all your work and Amy R's as well. this open letter to your beloved is full of sincerity and beautiful phases. the way it stops rhyming towards the end expresses that pain of wanting to say more but lacking the energy to do so. that we are left speechless and rhyme-less is a symptom of the love-bug. very-well written and it works on a number of levels.
