Tarot

A Poem by The_Ancient_Rock
"

A poem about the 22 major arcana in the Tarot cards.

"
Act cool,
don't be a fool.
A sage,
like the mage.
A mistress,
like the high priestess.
A temptress,
like the empress
A templar,
before emperor.
Not a sycophant,
like the hierophant.
In the covers,
true lovers.
Starting a riot,
in a chariot.
Notice,
there is justice.
Commit,
like the hermit.
Make a deal,
turn the wheel.
Congruent,
in strength.
Not quite the plan,
the hanged man.
He sat,
and welcomed death.
A good reference,
for temperance.
Chained in evil,
by the devil.
Crumbling power,
like the tower.
Shining from afar,
like the star.
Now so soon,
the moon.
To be one,
with the sun.
Not by accident,
judgment.
A story being told,
the world.

The poem revolves around the interplay between wisdom, power, and the spiritual journey of life.
By juxtaposing various archetypes—such as the sage, the empress, and the devil—your poem explores the complexities of human experience, the nature of justice, and the quest for self-identity and enlightenment.

Your poem invites readers to reflect on their own paths and the choices they make in the face of life's complexities.

i like this serving of word salad, the short lines that rhyme come at the reader like machine-gun fire. like a tarot reading, it might seem like obscure images that appear in random. but a card-reader knows that there are patterns and meanings to it. i am not a card reader, so i am going to slowly back away from making any interpretations. yet i had fun reading this stylish piece, and forgive me if i missed any key messages you wanted to convey.

Rock,
It's all there, isn't it? The Major arcana, it is an interesting study, but the Minor Arcana scares me.

You very poetically impart to your reader the meaning of the Tarot cards in perfect rhyme. An excellent interaction with words between the various cards. I like the simplicity of this poem very much, because I find the Tarot to be a complicated process, difficult to understand too. Your poem tells the story of the world today as it is. The wheel of life is always turning, but in so many ways we seem to be regressing instead of progressing. Very thought provoking and insightful write! Thank you for sharing, dear A. R...
