The eternal dance

The eternal dance

A Poem by The_Ancient_Rock
"

About the dance of the moon and the sun.

"
I gazed into the night dark sky,
and my eyes could not lie.
Star light, star light, shining bright,
Oh, what a splendorous sight.

Twinkle, twinkle little star,
shining your light from afar.
Bringing hope to the lost,
Moon goddess, queen of frost.

Lady of the witches,
bestower of wishes.
Your daughter Aradia is queen,
as her mother as always been.

Diana rides in her chariot,
chasing Lucifer, but she can not,
ever catch him, always apart.
Twin flames, siblings from the start.

Night and day goes the eternal dance,
in memory of their lost romance.
Night and day the wheel turns,
and Lucifer the Sun, proudly burns.

He burns for her.
He longs for her.
Fallen one, Lucifer,
lord of the morning star.

Daughter Aradia came to Earth,
destiny ever since her birth.
Queen of witches, the first,
raising power from dirt.

Diana, protector of thieves,
and illusion, all that deceives.
Princess of glamour,
protector of the poor.

Diana hunts with her bow,
a Moon beam as a piercing arrow.
A silver river always in flow,
but some nights she has to go.

Lady of many faces,
ruler of the moon palaces.
Sighted in many places,
her lover she always chases.

I liked the way you interspersed Lucifer and Diana in this swirling poem among the very active cosmos….seems like Diana overpowers Lucifer… “ lady of many face…”.protector of thieve, protector of the poor”….the eternal dance between them …..Diana chasing Lucifer, yet he burns from the brilliant sun…..great writing!

I must admit that i haven't read the book and maybe i will .
The cosmos is fascinating , it opens up all kinds of fantasy and your imagery is brilliant .... i see it as a quest for unrequited love from Diana ... but maybe i am wrong ?
Lovely to read and i will note the book :)
