Sad and alone.

Blue poem.

Sometimes I feel so bad. 

Sometimes I feel so sad. 

By the loss of what I once had, 

regret drives me mad. 

It is not what I have done, 

it is all I did not do. 

I was never the one,

she always made me feel blue. 

At first it was easy, 

but then it got heavy. 

These broken hearts, 

broken into small tiny parts. 

Can amends ever be made, 

or shall the bonds fade? 

Time can be merciless, 

relentless, cruel, ruthless. 

My love from the past, 

that did not last. 

Aside I was cast, 

way too fast. 

I have made myself invisible, 

present only in memory, ethereal. 

If such a thing can be conceivable, 

fantasy is better than the real deal. 

Bad luck, 

too many years. 

I gave up, 

to all my fears. 

Now it is only my dried tears, 

all the smoke, and all the beers. 

All these years facing my peers. 

I will not go, 

I rather stay. 

Don't need you to say, 

I got absolutely no dough. 

I am sorry. 

I will not go...

I will live in a memory, 

lost in my poetry. 

Sad and alone... 

Past hope is gone.

Such a deep yet sad poem, I felt so many emotions here that you portrayed.
The way you penned this so raw and filled of emotions.
Nicely done, loss eh, something very hard to deal with and then sometimes the past tend to hurt us when reminded of it.

i will live in poetry too. it's all i have. i, too, afflicted by numerous broken hearts. i imagine this was written in a state of severe melancholia. the words really speak those feelings. i hurt with you. and i also admire the artistry these lines were rendered. like a true poet, not just expression but also well-expressed -- no matter under what circumstances.

There is nothing like the past to hurt one so much, be it regret, lost love or all the might haves/should haves/could haves and we are left with the bitter memories. The past can't be changed, it's gone forever. All we truly have is the present moment, the here and now and we can make up for the past by living the present fully so that at some future day, on looking back, there is no regret, just a happy life well lived. A very emotive write, dear A. R... Excellently penned and expressed. Everybody has such moments, but I don't allow them to rent space in my head. I am at peace with the past and I concentrate on the present moment in time only. There is nothing new we can say about the past, it is how it will always be. Throughout our lifetime, we will suffer many losses and it takes time to come to terms with them, but we must never blame ourselves or others for those losses, just accept that not everyone who comes into our life is meant to stay, very few leave heart prints on our heart.
