A criminal & his lady: The tale of love & sacrifice

In the very core of the metropolis, an enchanting narrative unfurls, 

a tale of a noblewoman and a daring rogue, it swirls. 

She resided in opulence, encircled by afluence and grandeur, 

while he wandered in dark alleys, a phantom of secrets and allure. 

Destiny intertwined their paths on a fateful eve, 

her beauty captivated him, like a star that'll never leave.

Enchanted by her elegance and pose so refined, 

he couldn't resist her the irresistable charm of her visage, so kind.

She peered beyond his rugged façade, his outer shell,

to the depths of his soul, she saw a desolate spell. 

Their love flourished in the shadows of the night, 

a forbidden romance, full of passion, burning so very bright. 

As they kissed only the moon and stars watched from above, 

when the rogue and fair lady were lost in their dreams of love, 

they both knew that magical night would end soon, 

the sun would once again rise, for the forbidden lovers doom... 

He would need to leave before the last star vanished from the sky, 

she would need to go back to her palace and make up a lie. 

Being caught she would be dishonored, humiliated and he would surely wither away, 

they kissed and shared their final goodbye, and left each other halfway. 

Every year on the same date, on that very night they would tempt fate, 

they would meet at the witching hour, and they would not be late. 

Such true love even the Gods could not separate, 

and each year, one day, they will reunite their love so very delicate. 

This is the love tale of an unforbidden romance, 

the criminal and his fair lady in a lover's dance. 

They taught us all that no matter the situation, love will always win.

And even the Gods above, know that love will never be a sin.
