Autumn leaves

About the natural cycle of nature and life.

I see all these dried autumn leaves swept by the whirlwind, each year more reaching winter.

I myself am a leaf hanging on a branch, starting to look yellow on the edges. 

Soon I will dry up and get swept by the wind like all the other autumn leaves.

Young sprouts grow in the tree of life, yet so green and vibrant of youth, like eternal spring is upon them. I too remember being a young sprout and watch all the fallen autumn leaves dance in the wind. 

The seasons follow and another cycle is complete. 

The new must replace the old. Winter comes for us all. 

Let us always remember spring and summer. 

And when we were no more than a young sprout on the majestic tree of life. Yet so green and youthful. 

Still... I've always found autumn leaves to be the most beautiful.

I love how the poet compares and contrasts the season of Autumn with the season of Autumn in the circle of life in this sublime write. Like the poem, both in the season of Autumn and the circle of life, the autumn years are also my favourite and I would not return to the Spring or Summer if I was given a wish which would be granted.
