The four Horsemen or Riders on the Storm

The four Horsemen or Riders on the Storm

A Story by The_Ancient_Rock
"

Considering things a bit.

"

Pestilence

War

Famine

Death

The four Horsemen of the Apocalypse…

Or the riders on the Storm…

"Come." I looked, and behold, a pale horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the Earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the Earth.

"Revelation 6:7"

The wild beasts... of the Earth...

Truly some now’a’days people seem to act…

A bit like complete wild beasts.

Let’s face the facts here, they were always present.

All trough out Human History… there as always have been,

disease, sickness or illness, war, famine or hunger, and of course…

death.

So the four horsemen don’t really need to show up…

Truth is, they never really left… they were always here,

among us.

More in certain places than others… like third world nations for example…

But there were always, war, misery, sickness and death. Pretty much everywhere…

To a certain degree… of course.

Even those that weren’t born in such times, and haven’t experienced them,

we can all learn through History… more or less.

Slavery, The Holy Crusades, I and II World war, the Jewish Holocaust…

And all sort of many other atrocities in many different locations of the planet.

Trouble is… when Man… forgets History… and starts doing the same mistakes all over again.

If things exaggerate and escalate, it can be very… bad for the entire Human race.

But facing the facts, the four Horsemen or riders were always present in the world…

And most probably will keep on doing so.

Such are things and such is life… for now.

And Greed is not one of the Horsemen… but sure seems to help those guys, a whole lot.

Just a few humble words about… Revelation.

Dear the_Ancient_Rock, I love the reference,
It makes me so delighted to read your brevato on the inspiring words of Apocolipsio 6:7.
I love the painting. I think we should inherently continue to passionatoe,
the nonwithstanding words not only of the Old Testament, but also of,
the past, without a past we have no history. Moreover, it really makes me cry in
joy because of my twisted nature. Sardonic. We must feel hurt to feel Utopia. Even in fear,
the halls of thombstones sequire to the bells of God.

I do agree. The four horsemen lost their job. Damn man will fight and fight till one day. Men will be myth and tale. I tell people. God and the Devil had left too. The mass confusion of men. Made them dizzy. I did enjoy the poetry and thank you for sharing the outstanding story.

Agree! Humanity continue on same path of wars and destruction! With every new hell-on-earth the vision needs to come from the heart not the eyes.... Great observation!
