I needed a simple friend...

With no need to pretend…

I did… thought you fit,

I did… Sorry… just a little bit.

I do enjoy your words…

You have nice colors,

To go around…

Many just dream of bringing me down.

Such is LIFE…

Among Man or mice,

Fool me once, fool me twice,

I’m not Asian, but I’ll eat that rice.

Such a high… price,

Does God play with dice?

I never had any real wife,

Truth… may not feel… so very, nice.

I needed a simple friend…

With no need to pretend…

I did plant some seed,

I did... People… don’t listen to GREED!

I needed a simple friend…

With no need to pretend…

I did… hope you would understand…

I did… And many things, are out of my hand.

And if these be my last dying wretched days…

Well… to HELL with so many of you!

Hard to find friends now. The old days. We gathered and drank/talk. I did enjoy the poetry and thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Difficult to find friends in good people of peace. They are hypocrites most of them. Most do pretend. Now I find I'm simply friends with me. A lovely poem and rhyming and all.
