My Second Best Friend

My Second Best Friend

A Poem by The_Ancient_Rock
"

Love and friendship. Life can be... so very sad some times... Soldier on!!!

"
Once upon a time...
A friend showed up,
Before, we did chat a lot...
She arrived, bringing some dime.

We met at the bus station,
I was, very worried, to show late,
To make her wait, a real preoccupation,
Arrived, just in time, was it fate?

Later on, we booked at the motel,
I showered, and did some Russian roullete...
A small relief, and escape, from years of Hell,
Was I a fool? So very wise? Yeah... bet!

I trusted in her, and still do,
Wherever she may be now... F You!
We went to the beach near the Ocean...
Later on, did a stroll, in the streets, of Lisbon.

When we were, by the sea...
So very happy... you see?
We dug the sand, for sea shells,
Lots of tiny treasures find, ring the bells!

We drank, had lunch, dined, and supper,
Some days in our lives, not meant to suffer...
Later the days, and nights, went camping...
Some rude people we found, so... raging!

Other flowers there I saw...
One showed me her breasts... wow,
Is this Woodstock? Or am I a P.O.W.?
We loved and loved, without a care, for any you!

A bit of an old odd bird, she was...
Old lady shade... Me the Prince... because?
Oh well... King of Pain, fine, go to hell!
We didn't want to marry, for sure, in a church, by the bell.

We didn't enjoy crucifion, or the cross...
I was never... her boss!
She told me... I love Satan!
I did reply, fine by me... I'm Pagan!

We didn't believe in Jesus Christ...
Never wanted to be sheeps, cows, or plain mice,
You read... holy words in the bible, think twice!
I'd rather be Chinese... and eat lots of rice!

My second truly, only, real, best friend...
Told me the truth... no need to pretend.
She had some... past wounds, I tried to mend,
We left lots of foot-prints, on the wet sand.

J... was her name... and Jude, was I,
However... still so, very damn blind...
She elbowed me twice in the right eye...
Tried to wake me up, my Dear... I don't mind.

Then we did merry part...
Or so sorry... so what?
We used to spend hours on the line...
She always told me, love your songs, how you rhyme!

Ah... J... such a beautiful hag...
Baby... sometimes you were a bit of a nag,
So very jealous, for no reason...
Baby... I don't do treason.

So we agreed, break up!
I am here, you are there...
Not much of a point, wake up!
Still I do miss her, she was rare!

Later... she never called again...
Godspeed... my so wise, best friend!
Some days... read this beautiful sad poem,
Almost made me cry, later, I did, my friend, goodbye!

Yes son... she now is, with Abraham..
But she always told me, nay! I want to go to hell!
I feel the Devil is so much better, there I wanna dwell!
I gave her a choice... wouldn't you rather be, with me? Oh... well.

In this plane... all creatures at some point end.
Yes, above us, flowers and trees may grow...
Nature, may go on... doesn't make me bend!
Be careful with your, zealotry, idolatry, rocks I may throw!

Poem... to my second, best, real, present, true friend.
Yes Dear, now or in about, 50 or 60 a'year, before, after...
Yes... I too... shall end!
Untill... we meet again!

... I shall always miss, our few moments, our long talks,
our long walks... to me you were... pure bliss.

So sad... and... so sorry!
May you be in peace!

For... J..y
