Our Job

Our Job

A Poem by Aileen

As the bullets fly by
As we dive for cover
It’s another day
At work
It’s what we trained for
Freedom is our battle cry
No one messes w/ us
And gets away w/ it
The American saying
“Pay backs a b***h”
This is the day
We signed up for
This is the day
Of all days
This is the battle
We win
Or die trying
But as the bodies
Fall
And the blood turning
The sand to a
Dark blood red
We fight on
Fore it is
Our duty

We will prove our selves
As the bond of brotherhood
Keeps us together
Fight side by side

We die side by side

We fright for
Freedom
Not for oil
nor money
But for the right
To be
Who we are
To live the way we wont
For our families right
To exist
We fight for freedom
So we can die
Free
And today
We fight for
Freedom
And for our brothers
For when it starts
We fight for each other
And we die for each other
And we die for
Freedom
And today we
Free
