Her Death

Her Death

A Poem by Aileen
"

its part two of "I Feel Your Toutch" th explanation

"

As the casket goes by
As her friends cry
As the women she saved talked
And tears rolling down her face
As if a dam had broken
She placed a rose on the casket
As the man she fell in love with
Speaks to all
As her casket was cared to her grave
As tears roll slowly down his face
As he tried to cope with the fact she wasn’t coming back
He walked over to her casket and placed a flower
Remembering the last few moments
Him cradling her head in his arms
Him telling her that he loved her
As she told him the same
Just before she closed her eyes
Eyes that would never open again

Remembering the time
When he finally realized he loved her
He was to propose
But trouble hit before he could
She saved a women’s life
One she didn’t even know
She was shot in the proses
And she died in his arms

The flag was felled and given to him
And as her cop friends placed her casket in the ground
As the shots rang out
As all who knew her cried
So young
So in love
And yet so died

This is such a sad piece, and yet these types of things happen far too often in our world. People giving their lives so others may live, very heartfelt and touching indeed.

The last line, I think it would be better if you changed it to "and yet so dead" really great job. now, if you'll excuse me I need to go find a box of tissues and something to stop me from feeling so attached to pieces of writing and movies and pieces of writing. Good job.
