A Fallen Comrade

A Fallen Comrade

A Story by Aileen

she had lost a friend

she remembered the day he had died

they were pinned down

their whole bultune

they were waiting for renforcements

but they were still a mile or so away

they were firing at building tops

just trying to stay alive

she had ran over to the side of a building

he was right behind her

she rememberd him making a niose in pain

she turned to see him with blood gushing out.

the rifles went off as the casket went past

it was draped with an American flag

as the weaping of the mother and cracks of the rifles filled the air

as the marines saluted

the casket was lowered into the ground

the flag was folled

and given to her

for her fallen comrade was her fallen husban

Very sad story. It is a shame that this story must be enacted too many times now-a-days. Maybe someday the tyrants of the world will realize that there will always be heros willing to give their lives TO SAVE ANOTHER'S FREEDOM
