Chasing the Horizon

Chasing the Horizon

A Poem by Persephone Poe

Exploring the hour
Better left to bed
There are zero
Yet a thousand
Words in my head

I am the restless quester
In plain sight I sequester
Remove the limb that festers
Irresponsibility.

The quandary of one who does not find
That which she seeks
For all she's left behind
The only pain I have
Lies in time

Impatience rots the mind

I am the restless quester
In plain sight I sequester
Give a nest to the nester
God bless her.

And all the days of yore behind
In the future exists all things in time
I know them not but I still find
That love exists and so does rhyme
So if it's pain that you feel
With melancholy forge the steel
That will lead you through to some end
Where the horizon you'll search not again.
