A public persona often hides much darker, or at least much more introverted, shades of a life. Especially when the persona is outgoing and ebullient, maybe even the life of the party.
"Tears of a Clown" by Smoky Robinson is a great example.
Very well-written. And I like shorter poems. Although you do have the seed of a slightly longer work germinating here which could allow you to expand on the theme. Just a thought.

Thank you, i'd like to expand this poem a bit longer, I just had no more words at the time.
I get that this is just your view of a jester but to me, this is just of a "fool". Jester's privilege is a rather strange phenomenon, this being the jester being allowed to say and do nearly anything they wish with no repercussion, if they wanted to make fun of the king they could and were often among their top advisors on many occasions. Still not a bad poem
