It's a place like this

that I feel secure.

It's a place like this

that gave me nightmares.

 

This place is where I grew up

where I learned how to grow up.

This place is where I found it all,

where I found out who I really was.

 

It's a place like this

where I feel cared for.

It's a place like this

where I feel unwanted.

 

This place is the place I once loved

where I had first known how to love.

This place is where my innocence was ruined

where I found out just how to hate.

 

It's a place like this

that I used to call home.

It's a place like this

that I call my own Hell.

 

This place is where I once had a family

where I had at one point felt whole.

This place is where everything fell apart

where I lost everything important to me.

Author's Note

This is about my f*cked up home life. You will never understand because I will never talk about it with anyone, only my adopted parent knows. So..yeah. Here's a poem, review it, ignore it..do whatever you want. I just had to get a few things off of my chest.
