Like Glass

Like Glass

A Chapter by LoveYourself

You saw me without a smile,

you had asked me why no grin.

I simply replied to your question,

"It's nothing.."

You saw me sitting by myself,

you asked where my friends were.

I gave you a simple answer,

"Beats me.."

You saw me sitting in the corner,

you asked me why I was alone.

I let you know exactly what was up,

"Just cause.."

You saw me with my hands in my pockets,

and of course you had to ask what was wrong.

I simply laughed and mumbled to you,

"Cold, I guess.."

You saw cuts decorating both my wrists

you interrogated me about them..

I smirked to myself and let you know,

"Cat scratches.."

You saw dark patches on my skin,

and naturally you quizzed me about them..

I rolled my eyes and told you directly,

"Little bruises.."

You saw me walking home with a rope,

you wondered what I was doing after school.

I just gave you my honest plans,

"Hanging around.."

The next day when you didn't see me,

you questioned my parents where I was.

They broke down into tears and said,

"She's gone forever.."

From then on when you saw my picture,

you kept asking yourself why you never saw it.

My voice came on the loudspeaker in your head,

"Like glass..you saw right through me."

Author's Note

LoveYourself
The hands being in the pockets was supposed to be kinda like...hiding a razor in her hand.
The dark patches, were supposed to be burns from salt and ice..or even a curling iron [as some pain-tolerant people do...i don't, never have and never will >__> ]
everything else is pretty self-explainitory :P
