Some other way

Some other way

A Poem by Perdition

Let’s leave,

you and I

not leave

come winter

weaved as ripple thoughts

dust on painter's walls for life

to greet

Let’s walk,

as would the rain, into

steel willing veins, over wrong mottled right,

invite your window rats

habitual as a summer's breeze

We long gave away

these songs from staccato rotted teeth

There's so much willingness

that falls from the Gods and stills

so empty they bring us thoughts to stalk us like cancer

so scarred they mend us with strains of futile means

spread us with seams that nightly have no tomorrows

Words will drift

in then out

April’s clouds

shout water minds from far away

see the grains that

wear the mountains back of Africa

Tanzanian

Just one damp, soft spark displays the

suttle scoff of years,

where feeble the home

feeble the lies

you've tried your all, I grieve

for some other way
