Galvanized Lucidity

Galvanized Lucidity

A Poem by Perdition

Rain, you visit in times of pablum

when the heart has puddled and I am three

both murk and water

un-spectacled Brahman

Winter you descend as words incarnate

collaged and poor

as all journeys begin

so all journeys end

Sun of spring I am soothed by your

remnants lucidity

a sedantary

but come this knowledge within

come all knowledge without

Slow you visit in color’s iris pulp

both carnage and zen bottle

I ask for time and you walk away

I ask for love and your hands descend until the

quiver is clean and all tyranny has the face of a mirror

Oh, my friend. I am wrapping these words about my shoulders. I feel their truth resonating in my own life - no surprise there, I'm sure.

Rain, winter, sun of Spring, and color. What a stunning progression through seasons of nature and seasons of life.

You capture yearning and how hard it is when answers are slow or they seem to walk away altogether.

Your ending with a mirrored surface is so appropriate since we always need to self-reflect, in all that implies. You spun a thread to Khalil Gibran for me in that quiver. Remind me to share that with you.

"Puddled" and "soothed" it's all about the verbs, baby! Also, "collaged" describing "words incarnate" is perhaps my favorite word choice.

I love your voice. It flaps in the night like a majestic chiweenie of the wild bent to the geometry of the universe.
