Never the sameA Poem by PerditionThen came the hour of wounded light when all was gone portioned to recurrent voices where the stars would embrace their end as if to wrong the right deranged for this darkness all but aborted It was here here where I walked my wounds the mindless road step over step gone by Here is where I tried to understand when the last bit of night abandoned me And as if two lovers we moaned each footstep slowly groaning through the orchard of colors the stuttering of fall It was here on this road I reflected It was here that I strolled beside the bits and words and all that noble roam to follow Here is where I saw I was once of tapestry and a witness to the lighthouse Here the same as you two pretending as pawns do among the colors of the congregation But who could’ve seen, known or spoke in such a thing that I should never return never the same But then came the hour the wounded house of light when night fled away and all from what seemed right in all but once was tapestry had gone But who could’ve known or spoke of such a thing, that I should never return Never the same again © 2023 PerditionReviews
