A Poem by Perdition

Silence in every sound

my tired hands tremble

there is only this dim last hour here with me

this last passage read in rage

this world, this world,

This world is a leopard's eye

and the coil of it feeds

I am its agony burned in two

And you

You are the sound and silence

the last in me

released

Since I've watched Troy long years ago, there is this sentence that stuck in my head and in my heart, when Achilles told Briseis at the end "You gave me peace in a world of war" at the time I didn't know that I will witness later all kind of wars... Your gem poem resonates deep in me that sentence, with all the thoughts, feelings, and what's hidden sacredly behind. I could go on for a page, but I don't want to, and I prefer to leave your solemn peom to have all the power on the page and all the control over your readers. now since this is my absolute favorite from you I've read so far, can I save this little ocean's diamond?
