Remember

Remember

A Poem by Perdition

Remember the tears

The words, the first warmth left

The stage we made of eloquent sigh

Words that pressed and failed

Every chance

A first, where day from night begins

Ending with the piercing starling shrill

Speckled cross the leap and closing wind

The song still melting on the wing

Remember the fever of our unyielding dance

Where the stems from silence could no longer stand

Release it, as if it were your wish

Held in the psalm of our hands

Most msgs about remembering feature this happening more directly & that's why I love your poem for showing what an imperfect process it is when we remember. I get the sensation this narrator almost can't recognize those embryo sensations after memories morph into whatever strange new forms that life twists things into. I love that you take this in an unexpected direction (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
