You Will Know

You Will Know

A Poem by Perdition

There will come a time

when you will know and sense this deeply

deeper than the mind will ever let on

farther than the heavens will run

a moment when all decisions

dark or glorious

have already been made

you will know

you will know

the way a river senses the flood before a cloud has even formed

or the bridge gives way and has finally knelt into summer

you will know

there will be a freedom on your lips along with the taste of the rising water

a death you have feared since first you came into life

the force from this into your veins conspiring revolution

you will know

your life was not meant to grasp the silence from the stones inside the mountain

though that chance will often come

and the forces from this world will begin to speak and you will hear them smiling

and maybe a butterfly alone will teach you

or that first lonely bite into hell

the child alone

fast asleep and dreaming

miles before she drinks your adaptations

and the dream lightly dreaming the life to come

your soul will follow

and you will know it is right

this is my most favorite from You I've read so far, the depths of Your words go beyond the lines, Your first verse I read and re read again, astonishing the way You started with! (caught another slip lol change "then" into "than" ).

You wanted to go beyond the boundaries, from how powerfully and profoundly You composed Your opening lines, it's true You've spread Your mind's eyes, Your spirit's wings, larger than life, then... with a gentle sensation, You paint the graces of moments in our lives, those moments that many pass by without noticing, You speak of the power of now, of birth, or renewal, of the wonderment that lives in each moment if we allow ourselves to see, to feel... Your Love that's it in each moment and if She opened her heart and soul, she will know how You love her, like heaven loves earth.

live flowing like a brook through the universe, and fear no death, because death is also a life, a life where You flow too like a warm brook. Your sensitive being is shown here, Your faithful spirit too, some few things I've noticed, but I LOVE it as it is, magnificent!

This poem picks its own path with your words as lamps gently guiding the reader to the realization that most of life's learning and wisdom comes from within self and that external things are mere stimuli to trigger the epiphanies and realizations.

This is an awesome originally-stated & uplifting message! You pick many bright & fresh metaphors for all the ways life can manifest for different folks, but each reader will take this in his/her own way. I love the slow meandering pace, punctuated with repeats of your title line, until you finally state the conclusion, which is indisputable truth (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
