![]() Never EndingA Poem by PerditionWhatever claims your fate or head or sinful notion Fluttering in from space or some other plastic temple Whatever breaks that midnight stare Trailing in dispersant shadows, The face of it hanging on the wall Sways a crooked hat that runs to some cherry crypt ‘morn Whatever blushing star, Fragrant sound, or distant hush Spell binds your reason Like an untouched ovary against the galaxy Whatever was will never fade Inviting a seed of perception, a pain, a want To walk Along all that has deserted Whatever slit this world into two and yours within Be it shackled or winged Spoke its wounds into your ear And aged like sweet knowing mountain air Relieving the story from its weight Obsessing the obsession Only now What is out there Is within © 2020 PerditionAuthor's Note
