TragedyA Poem by PerditionShe amended me My destruction Clawing from the sleep of seduction and relief Bestowing chaos Reflection through my cages Standing in plasticity A neon's revelation A staggering phosphorus Offering up her patina Independence over dust The horizon starred and jagged Inoculation from its cup She took the world as her stirrup The reins dared A sea among lanterns The adaptation over night Floating With one blade toward the sight of posterity There she stabbed at the cracks where I needed them most And in her glass of wine No longer my innocence held red Only the waste with her withered body In definitive might Instantaneously formed The daylight A name carved out of darkness The storm An illustrious squall Held in a shadowbox Monstrous and far from the sun So glib was our salvation So liquid was her source A Tesla alcohol Disassembled round the floor Spiraling Again…. And again we were prisoners of limit and dull minds Twenty as of one Three, six, Independent variables to a universe of nines But morning came as prophet Naked and benign And in that country the Trees imagined me a peculiar leaf A fire built from some hour-less dawn Antlered in precatory ohm She asked such a simple thing And my eternity began Nothing remained Nothing replaced Be the eye of Horus Or the faithful to the faith © 2017 PerditionReviews
