TrepidoA Poem by PerditionIt will speak to you, Not in words or sounds but in The simpler way flowers speak from the shade The malicious way
stars flatter the night out of a black pure sky Or deserts
sing till their anxiously dry of isolation Irascible
Steeped, mangled and all-consuming It will
speak to you And you
will hear it as a breeze You will
know it, because the voice is oddly of your
own And the nicks you feel are real enough The crackling wick’s dance against a sea of self-liquidity And stems of static fallen on your life Adapted now to handsome walls You'll taste your fear- That vein
that stares oddly as you remain trapped in its icebox throat And the
window sill melts at your face Consumed with all its vigil It will speak to you But you
must never listen © 2017 PerditionReviews
