Coffee Soft

Coffee Soft

A Poem by Perdition

We are restored …

Like children of bloom

The rooms made loud again

The walls awakened

Pouring of laughter

No more the absence of silhouette

Some nights I walk in emptiness

A stranger on a slow and moth filled page

Other nights I am absorbed

The urgency of darkness within you

My love impending

Loneliness exceeds, by far the will of solitude

Coffee soft lovers we soon are made of this

Such fragrant friends

And clouds turned beards, growing thicker

By soul

Greater than our needs

This sudden urgency

As here is a house made home again…

Here, as if an ember resurrect and

A crackle from wattage breaks the air with a kiss of electrons

Bugs too swirl as they cluster

The warm debris of glow

A wonder I imbibe the greater joy of this

To feel our broken world

Made whole again

And God at play in this

purpose

Just how I like my coffee these days, black with a shot of whiskey!

Rich imagery. A crackle from wattage... Love that whole line. I can almost hear it too.
