AqueousA Poem by PerditionI always adored her in blue An element extraordinary and Terrifying in the way light Burned against our skin The doubt beneath her lips The desolation that levied her eyes As days drew this out with a
marbled cancer Crippling dusk onto a sensually
pale end We would trace hands Sundays never found us shy But like bricks we were stiff Resigned Imprisoned and made to hold back
the last hours Our fantasy flooded into fear Just the way aqueous streams Though I imagine time would tell
all differently Nothing grows as well as a hunger
in darkness After our last veneer With fire pausing over night Stories like sex kept us smiling
Now All is gone The fire a tombstone The song A blue rendering Wedded to the wetlands Memories turned unto weeds What I reminisce is Terrifying Something in weight of birth
against Life’s eventual decline A wanting of Her eyes A blue beginning I will never know Again
