From Beginning to LustA Poem by PerditionThe canyon spoke dimensionally
We hovered over warm flaws, Ate miles of dust in the daylight Overseeing in Resident tyranny- We collected shipwrecks Spinning as we thought
ourselves special Though we no longer imagined
We belonged to suns in tell-tell
originalities So it is on the open sea From beginning to lust We lived here Placed as slaves on the tip
of thimble gnats We dreamed ourselves Pulsating electrical fires And I can remember the frequencies
when once We walked determined as lightning
to ground Marking the days to our destiny Lighter than vines of air or A doubt in your smile of wound We made fools in the sand
and merciful Sloth of bombshell strands Soon enough becoming the cyclopse “us” I need not relay that Swift days turn to dry ice- A specter of wanting where our passion Lies in the tangled grass Deceived, Strung out on reedy now-isms
Blue veined With the breath of apple-cancer And the shadows pulled Though these subtleties are not our
friends We eat our lots incensed Chewing lightly on the scabs
of our tongue And again the Summer is ruptured Rain patterned Again we sing birth to young
cancerous bones Whiskey and green pastures
of teeth Prisoners Lamented into hope My homebound love on pages
pressed My body bleakly respondent As here she whispers: This life is our final words; Your mirrored reflection An infinite finite over a Keeper’s watch © 2015 Perdition |
