"A Brief Elucidation"A Poem by PerditionI have come to undulate realms Pluck stars from their visceral walls Eating great white seeds of pomegranate The letter I sent you explains it all And still your face Overflows in buckets Your black hole Victrola in the corner Once a huge, slow Moaning medicine machine Now howls with pain Birthing a stormy needle A last cryonic colored Sinatra You must have read I was awakened Split, from center to end This to realize We all Must swallow trees Root to Branch Bough to Bark and Yes I must climb you Where you climb to die inside of me The deserts have discerned And who, alone I, burns not what Desert’s want I am as long as you’re memory And more than all Worth willing…. A good three-second stretch Beyond
