Haunted

Haunted

A Poem by Perdition

I saw you again last night

 hiding among the river stems

Your lips glowed a fashionable shy

Your dress

Weakened in the pale and pearl sweat of moonlight

I could never help but run to you

The fog of right and please rising between

I knew our distance would one day stagger

Fences there

where once a field of we did play

Now my memory in torture drowns

Your voice a melting star

And in the river

The last of all that ever was

Perfumes the air

Sweetly

for the rest

Hello from across the very, very long way,

This one is absolutely impeccable in the way it serenades the song from within to remember...bittersweet memories handled with elegance and style, with a delicate emotional brush.

At least, that is what this one spoke to me about.

Wishing you a most productive weekend.
