The Life In Winter

The Life In Winter

A Poem by Perdition

Look at the snow my love

Falling, twisting

Twirling white smiling rise

The cumulative blockade to a world abject life

Isn’t it wonderful?

To be once again in the arms of a warm silence..

The roads smothered over in heaven’s light

Like all time spent 'tween you and I

This is where we can dance again

In alms of youth and mercy…

Look at the snow my love

Have you never seen something quite so pure?

The world now lost of centuries

Tonight we'll claim our love again

Out in the pastures of hoofs and driven sled

Out in the eventual melting beauty

And when the roads appear again, I will whisper

the words into your heart of the life to be found in midst of winter.

Happy holidays across the way ~~~

This one takes the reader back to a time and place where innocence prevailed in all life forms on every level...

...a time when beauty was appreciated for beauty's sake itself without any hidden or twisted agendas.

...a place where hearts could play and enjoy without worries.

Oh, to be able to return, again if only for a season...

(sigh)

Needless to say, I loved this one. I really have to start writing again.
