HelpA Poem by Percy PoundWhat are you going to do?
I'll do all that I can...
But i'm only a man. What can I do? I'm subject to the ways of the many And so hopeless as an individual. But yeah, wouldn't it be wonderful? If I guy like me Could go and fly free And save the day like in all the stories? Stop saying "only" You're more than that. You can't just give up At the drop of a hat. Hunker down and toughen up Or else life'll treat you like a small, newborn pup. You're not the runt, and I know you feel as if you got the brunt But please don't give up like I did But what if I fail And you're not there? How will I fare, tonight? Help me, stay with me, I don't want to be alone in all this strife Help me fight this awful blight. I'll stay, but you're out of your mind What'll you do when you have to go against the grind? I won't always be here, and you know you'll Have to face all those fears. Then i'll repay you, I see you through. I'll become strong enough to protect what I hold dear And be able to face all of our fears. It might take some time, i'm not that strong. But i'll do it for you.
