Your First (meaningful) Card

Your First (meaningful) Card

A Poem by Mr. Deft Diction
"

I wanted to do something that I've actually thought about doing before. If this works out, it could be the first in my own signature series, perhaps.

"

Twelve million copies couldn't tell us

what to expect when we're expecting;

but I'm betting that you'll still be beautiful.

I look into the future as I feel your fingertips

like feathers dusting my head,

knowing that he or she will get that same comfortable feeling,

when you tuck our little one in bed.

Maybe I'll lose some cool points around the cooler

with the fellas,

but you hold my little boy boxer,

or a pretty little lady who collects polka-dotted umbrella's.

And I couldn't imagine my being,

being worthy of leaving a legacy until you bared my seed.

So I stand here, in full belief of your abilities to help

fill their needs.

Indeed, rearing one of tomorrow's leaders is something I believe.

And I'm committed to setting the example,

backing you up on the way you lead.

I just want to thank you in advance of the bandwagon;

before the rest of the world can see.

I want to thank you for blessing me.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom (to be...)

Your Husband,

Soon

This is sublime. Simple and honest, yet artistic and touching. I'm certain that she will read this and tears will flow. It's an amazing feeling for a woman to know that her man sees beyond what can be seen or matched on the outside. This is an amazing time for both of you. Continue this road, it will bring you bliss.

Now you know......Mamas everywhere appreciate this....because your perspective is seen through eyes that a mama bird just doesn't see in the same way....I like the way you know your words and you know how to make them go down smoother than a shot of Baily's....lol...

This is embellished with such strength and love ..an enduring decision and resolve.
the eluding to setting yourself apart and not caring....is a crucial sign to God building a powerful ...indestructable bond between you an she. A rock solid commitment and mallability that can be so difficult for me.

Love is about commitment...not feelings or circumstances. ..and a man must be able to move within his own growth yet have one hand on the roots that foundate that. God is the nucleus so many marriages are missing.

I'm loving a front row seat at the transition ....and power I see in you peOples is beautiful..

MAD RESPECT FOR THIS PIECE...
AFTER MY OWN HEART
::: YOU TWO ::::....or shall I say ::you three:::

Blesssssssssssss
