Chill

Chill

A Poem by Ink

A stony heart face white as jasmine
floats above a rose turtle-neck sweater
looking at the station board to determine
what train to enter

Bustling crowd behind her going left or right
She rubbed her hands together to get warmer
tries to ignore the cold, out of sight out of mind

Look to the clock, it's to early
Turn towards the crowd, it's too busy
sat a while on the wooden bench
looked at faces going east or west

"It's starting to rain" one face going west said
"Oh no wonder we're colder" said the next

Oh well, it was sunny before
weather changed just like anything
and the chill will go through anything
like a mind that is always wandering
