A lady and then me

A lady and then me

A Poem by Ink

I look to her face it was really pretty
Her lips curved then her eyes smiled sweetly
I blinked fast and then look away
Because those feelings are not meant to stay

I look this time to her hands
Thin, smooth, lovely hands
She laughed and I just had to steal a stare
I thought I saw the whole universe, but it was just us there

"Tell me, why haven't you settled with anyone?" She asked sincerely
"I'm not yet ready" I talked really breathy

I look away I can feel her eyes on my face
I took a deep breathe and tried not to imagine her in lace

Amazing use of words and thoughts.
"I look this time to her hands
Thin, smooth, lovely hands
She laughed and I just had to steal a stare
I thought I saw the whole universe, but it was just us there "
The above lines. So good. They are meaningful and wonderful use of words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You captured the moment and she captured your imagination in a big way.
