Silent

Silent

A Poem by Ink

I swear I wanted to touch you the moment you came in, that maroon-colored poloshirt shone in this place full of dark

Eyes followed you around like the stars follow the night, your porcelain complexion making the white china shy

Lips smooth but as red as raspberry, eyes so blue but as irresistible as a cup of coffee

Calm and collected you sat infront of me
You smiled just a little, made me question if this is real

"I'm sorry we just met, but how I wished it was different" you said
"We can start again now, if you would still like to" you stood and walked towards the other room

"I am sorry for your loss" you told a man that I knew , I look to my left and saw a casket with me wearing a black dress too

A haunting and interesting tale. I liked the set-up of the poem leading the reader to the surprising ending. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
