Limbo

Limbo

A Poem by Ink

I had everything when I had you.
Well now, what am I suppose to do?
You said, "You'll be fine, we'll be fine"
but I can see it's only you who is alright

I am breaking each lift I created
I thought I can escape the void.
Now my mind will always cherish it
wrapping it around me like a coil

We'll be fine, as long as we are apart
You with your heaven
I with my dampened spark
Ignoring every beat of the heart

I'll wander to any land I see
Fake it till I make myself free
But really I just want to be relieved
From every familiar things we used to be

Is it going to work?
Is it going to fail?
Only time will tell
It begins with my farewell

Limbo, not a pleasant state to be in most of the time. Not knowing one way or the other. That means your hopes can flicker between being raised or cut down. I prefer clean breaks myself. Nicely composed.
