RainA Poem by InkA poem
It would be too bright,
If not for the cloud that sailed uphigh. The breeze gently picking up speed, and I am entertained by the dancing reeds. Too long had it been dry and heat seeps deep Too long have I felt trapped in lonely fields I felt the wind dance around me, I heard a familiar clap above. The smell of home beside a river and an old song being sung I walked and anticipated the sweet drop of tears. Tears that might have belong to me. Too long have I traveled without anyone and anything. Too long have the world made me sink. Singing the tune in the best way I can, welcoming rain in my hands. The further I get , the faster I ran, back to my heart, back to my land. © 2017 InkAuthor's Note
