Wind

Wind

A Poem by penguin
"

An enigma, this one is

"
The wind is dangerous tonight, my love
It is too powerful for me to face it alone
Give me your hand, and I won't fly away

I've never been much for romance, dear
You know that, from stories
But tonight I can't survive without it

This wind is the most destructive I've ever seen
Letting go will kill, holding on will keep me here
One more precious, precious day

Hopefully that one more precious day
Is spent with the person I love
I'll hold your hand if you allow it

So the wind doesn't hurt us anymore

I very much like your idea of using "wind" in this message, which can represent all the thing that can blow us away from the thing we most want or love. Your descriptions of being buffeted by the wind are well-done and I especially like the "hand-holding" lines which are also full of extra meaning.
